Victoria Mlady is a contemporary digital artist working in Albuquerque. She creates large bright modern abstract pieces from her original photography using digital processes, a keen eye for design, and a honed intuition for color and how it affects people. She is inspired by the modern aesthetic, by the way color and pattern play together, and the wealth of pattern that can be found in nature. Her artwork pays homage to the myriad ways in which color impacts moods and environments. She believes that the spaces we create for ourselves mold us powerfully and significantly; therefore, it behooves us to pay attention to the objects we surround ourselves with. Because color directly contributes to well-being, she plays with it delightfully, imbuing her art with all it is meant to offer. Her images begin in nature and end as bright modern focal pieces that demonstrate a yearning for what could be, above and beyond what is. Once the photographic, digital design and rendering processes are complete, the art is printed using museum-quality fine art papers and canvases using large format printers and archival pigment inks for longevity. Much of her work is offered as limited editions.
Victoria has lived in New Mexico for eighteen years with her husband and teenage son. She exudes passion for rescue animals, volunteering, reading, plant-based nutrition and education.
